The Miss Universe 2011 pageant has been aired live from Sao Paulo, Brazil on NBC at 9 p.m. EST. Miss Leila Lopes of Angola was proclaimed as the Miss Universe 2011 (see link) being crowned by Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete of Mexico. The pageant was hosted by NBC "Today" anchor Natalie Morales and the Bravo network's Andy Cohen. Judges were celebrities including Connie Chung, supermodel Isabeli Fontana, Indy race car driver Helio Castroneves, Vivica Fox, Adrienne Maloof, Amelia Vega and Philippine international singer Lea Salonga.
