At 11:00 p.m. today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that the Typhoon "QUIEL" has made landfall over Dinapigue, Isabela. Its center is located based on radar, satellite and surface data at 150 km West of Baguio City (16.4°N, 119.0°E) with the maximum winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph. It is forecast to move West at 26 kph and expected to be 690 km West Northwest of Baguio City on the evening of October 2, 2011.

At 4:00 pm today, PAG-ASA forecasts that Typhoon "QUIEL" was located based on satellite and surface data at 490 km East of Tuguegarao City (17.9°N 126.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph. It is forecast to move West at 26 kph. Quiel is expected to enhance the Southwest Monsoon and will bring scattered to widespread rains over Southern Luzon and Western Visayas.

Through the untiring efforts of Lucky Me!, the first National FaMEALy Day - Araw ng Pagkilala na Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga was launched in 2008 FaMEALy Day became a nationwide call to celebrate family dining every 4th Monday of September as supported through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the National Committee for Filipino Families (NCFF). Last September 30, 2009, Presidential Proclamation 1895 was issued declaring the commemoration of the Filipino Family Day every 4th Monday of September.
