Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc. (CSFI) Scholarship Program for Women - How To Apply, Requirements and Form (DepEd Memo No. 11 s. 2012)

The Department of Education (DepEd) releases on Thursday, January 20, 2012 the DepEd Memo No. 11 s. 2012, re: CONGRESSIONAL SPOUSES FOUNDATION, INC. (CSFI) SCHOLARSHIPPROGRAM FOR WOMEN.


The Congressional Spuses Foundation, Inc. (CSFI) under the leadership of its President , Joy Belmonte, Vice Mayor of Quezon City will provide assistance to the underprivileged female public high school graduates to pusure college thgrough shcolarship grants of Thirty Thousand Pesos (Php 30,000.00) per semester or Sisty Thousand Pesos (Php 60,000.00) per year until the completion of the scholar's course or degree. This grant will cover both school and personal expenses.

There will be 5 regional scholars shall be selected from the different congressional districts of the division/region. The 10 Partylist scholars shall be selected by CSFI. The allocation of the Regional Nominees selected from the Division Nominees which shall represent 1 per congressional district is shown in the Enclosure No. 1 of the aforementioned DepEd Memo.

The prospective scholars shall choose any of the priority courses offered by the CHED from 2011 to 2016 as listed in the Enclosure No. 3 of the said DepEd Memo.

DepEd Memo No. 9 s. 2012 - Results of the 2011 National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH)

The Department of Education (DepEd) through the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP) announces via DepEd Memo No. 9 s. 2012 the Results of the 2011 National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH) which was simultaneously administered nationwide on October 30, 2011.

The Top Ten (10) placers of the 2011 National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH) with their Region and corresponding Percentile Rank are the following:

DepEd Memo No. 8 s. 2012 - 16th National Autism Consciousness Week

The Department of Education (DepEd) releases on Thursday, January 19, 2012 the DepEd Memo No. 8 s. 2012, re: 16TH NATIONAL AUTISM CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK.
Pursuant to presidential No. 711 dated January 4, 1996, the nationwide celebration of the 16th National Autism Week with the theme "Making the Rights Real for Filipinos with Autism" will be held on January 22-29, 2012.

The celebration aims to:
  • generate awareness on autism; and
  • provide educational, health and social services for children with autism.

March 2012 Marine Deck Officers Licensure Examinations - Notice to All Concerned Applicants

A notice from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) was issued on Friday,  January 20, 2012 with regards to the upcoming March 3-4, 2012 Marine Deck Officers Licensure Examinations re: NOTICE : To all concerned Chief Mate and Master Mariner applicants to the March 3-4, 2012 Marine Deck Officers Licensure Examinations.

Notice is hereby given to all concerned Chief Mate and Master Mariner applicants who will take the March 3-4, 2012 Marine Deck Officers Licensure Examinations who are required to submit the Revised Management Level Course (RMLC) Training Certificate.

In view of the failure to submit the revised MLC training certificates on or before February 3, 2012, the set deadline for the processing of applications, considering the very recent implementation of the revised MLC requirement, all concerned Chief Mate and Master Mariner applicants shall be allowed to have their applications processed not later than February 3, 2012, provided they submit the enrollment or registration form from a MTC accredited training center as proof that their training is still on-going.

This Notice applies only for the March 3 and 4, 2012 Marine Deck Officers (Written) Licensure Examinations. The revised MLC Certificates however, must be submitted not later than February 24, 2012 at Marine Deck Officers Division, PRC Manila.

Non-submission of the said MLC certificates on the set deadline will mean: a) exclusion from the list of examinees who will take the March 3-4, 2012 Marine Deck Officers licensure examination and b) non-issuance of the Notice of Admission.

Applicants for the Licensure Examination for March 03 and 04, 2012 who will not be able to meet the deadline of completing the MLC requirements on or before 24 February 2012, may opt to file their application under the Walk-in Examination System (WES).

This Notice shall not apply to applicants to the Officer-In-Charge of a Navigational Watch licensure examination.

DepEd Order No. 4 s. 2012 - Declaring January 28, 2012 as Early Registration Day for SY 2012-2013 to Achieve the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) and the Objectives of Education For All (EFA)

The Department of Education (DepEd) releases on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 the DepEd Order No. 4 s. 2012, re: DECLARING JANUARY 28, 2012 AS EARLY REGISTRATION DAY FOR SY 2012-2013 TO ACHIEVE THE MILLENIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS (MDGs) AND THE OBJECTIVES OF EDUCATION FOR ALL (EFA).


The Early Registration Day generally aims to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) on Universalization of Primary Education and the objectives of Education For All (EFA).  One of the objectives is to ensure that all 5-year-olds and 6-year-olds are enrolled in the school year 2012-13.

Also included in the registration is the enlistment of Out-of-School children and out-of-school youth in secondary schools.

International Workshop/Thinkshop on Values Formation (DepEd Advisory No. 2, s. 2012) )

The Department of Education (DepEd) releases on Thursday, January 5, 2012 the DepEd Advisory No. 2, s. 2012, re: International Workshop/Thinkshop on Values Formation. In compliance with DepED Order No. 39, s. 2009 this Advisory is issued for the information of DepEd officials and personnel.


The said DepEd Advisory is relative to the conduct of Philippine Professional Linkage from Various Disciplines, Inc. (PPLFVDI) the International Workshop/Thinkshop on Values Formation with the theme "Integration of Values in the Worldwide Education Curriculum to Produce God-fearing Citizens of the World" on April 29-30, 2012 in Iba, Zambales.

National Congress for the Out-Of-School Learners (DepEd Advisory No. 1, s. 2012)

The Department of Education (DepEd) published on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 the DepEd Advisory No. 1, s. 2012, re: National Congress for the Out-Of-School Learners.


In compliance with DepED Order No. 39, s. 2009 this Advisory is issued for the information of DepEd officials and personnel.

The Philippine Association of Non-formal Educators, Inc. (PANFEI), in collaboration with the Bureau of Alternative Learning System (BALS) will hold the National Congress for the Out-of-School Learners with the theme “Kung ALS Learner Ka, Naiiba Ka” on April 17-19, 2012 at the Teachers Camp, Baguio City.

The National Congress aims to:

a. highlight the common concerns of ALS learners and identify opportunities and prospects which address those concerns;
b. generate positive responses from the learners in terms of helping improve themselves, their families and the communities where they belong;
c. instill pride among the ALS learners as lifelong learners; and
d. promote connectivity between and among the ALS learners and the ALS community.
The participants are the following:

a. DepEd Personnel
• Bureau, Center and Regional Directors;
• Schools Division/City Superintendents;
• Bureau/Regional ALS Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs, Education Supervisors II;
• Education Supervisors I in-charge of ALS;
• Public Schools District Supervisors;
• ALS Facilitators (Mobile Teachers, District ALS Coordinators) ; and
• BALS staff (committee members).

b. Non-DepEd Personnel
• ALS learners;
• ALS Gabay Aral Pamayanan (AGAP), Peer Educators, Instructional Managers, Literacy Facilitators, Service Providers; and
• (NGOs).

Nominees for Various Professional Regulatory Boards (December 14, 2011)

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), in compliance with Section I, Article II of Executive Order No. 496, Series of 1991, which reads: “The Commission shall, upon receipt of the resolution from the accredited professional organization, immediately publish the same in a newspaper of general circulation for the purpose of inviting anyone who may have derogatory information against any of the nominees which may render him unfit for the position to inform the said Commission within a period of ten (10) days from such publication xxx”, hereby publishes the names of the nominees.
