At 2:00 p.m. today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG-ASA) forecasts that the Low Pressure Area (LPA), was estimated based on satellite and surface data was estimated at 520 km East Northeast of Southern Luzon (15.3° N 129.4° E). It is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Meanwhile, Typhoon "QUIEL" has weakened as it moves farther away from the country.
